MASTERS DEGREES

Masters degrees are great for those who want to pursue higher ed, or not quite sure what they want to do after college.


A masters degree is a continued focus after receiving a BA/BS! With this degree you will gain a higher knowledge of your field!


There are extensive masters programs and these change depending on the school, but there are masters programs for just about anything you could be interested in!


examples include:


  1. Masters in Public Admin

  2. Masters in Fine Art.

  3. Masters in Addition Therapy.

  4. Masters of Science in fields such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics

  5. Masters in Dental Hygiene

  6. Masters in Organizational Leadership.

The above are just a few that many schools offer.


There are also a wide variety of specialties in masters programs can offer. For example, political science. You could get one in political theory, international politics, or even teaching.


Many employers have started to opt into paying for their employees furthering their education. This could be a great opportunity for those interested in receiving a degree in their current field of work.

MIT (Masters in Teaching)


Masters in education (MED), or a Masters in teaching (MIT). These masters programs are some of the more common ones, and we know many who have this degree. Our teachers thought our K-12 journey for example, many of whom have this degree.


A masters in education are common among those who have a BAE. For example in the state of Washington, 51% the teaching population holds this advanced degree. These programs are offered at many institutions.


There are a wide variety of different programs within this degree. Examples include.

  1. special education

  2. leadership

  3. curriculum

  4. specific fields such as math, English, ETC...

In association with any BA or BS you can go into a masters program to teach. Many who work in a business industry, go back and get a masters degree or certificate that allows them to teach later in life.


The world will always need teachers, this is always a valuable degree.


MBA (Masters in Business Administration)


A Masters in Business Administration. This degree can help in any field.


This masters degree is commonly offered as a dual enrollment degree, such as pharmacy and an MBA, or Law or many other masters programs offer a a dual degree with an MBA.


Similar to a masters in education, this is a fairly common degree and can be used in many fields. The world runs on business and transactions, what a better way then to dive right into this with an MBA.


In more recent years those pursuing an MBA is not as high as it once was. Looking at trends those who get an MBA now could be ahead of the curve.


If you are interested in receiving an MBA check with your employer, many companies have now started to invest in their partners by paying for education. This is a great opportunity.


Overall an MBA is very useful, especially for those in fields such as marketing, finance, or even hospitality.
