Between 2000 and 2019, Asian Americans were the fastest-growing racial ethnic group in the US with an 81% increase. With nearly nineteen million Asian Americans currently in the US, education and acceptance of Asian cultures has become an increased need in intercultural studies. American Born Chinese is a perfect graphic novel to visually and rhetorically display cultures.
